What the Association does
Four commitments behind every credential
Our purpose is simple: when someone presents an AAAP-NLP credential, clients, employers and colleagues should be able to trust what it means.
Rigorous certification
Credentials follow a written examination and a practical assessment, attended and co-signed by a second certified trainer.
CredentialsA binding Code of Ethics
Every member commits to the Code. Concerns are reviewed by the Board, which can require further training, suspend or remove a member.
Code of EthicsA public registry
Anyone can verify a credential by name or certificate number, while member lists remain private.

Certification standards
Every credential is examined, not simply attended
Attendance alone never leads to a credential. Candidates must meet attendance and practice requirements before they may sit certification, which is itself a two-day module.
- A three-hour written examinationComprehensive, covering every module, marked against published result bands.
- A practical case analysisEach candidate analyses a real situation from the course and presents it to the group and the trainers.
- A second trainer in the roomAnother active certified trainer attends every certification and co-signs each certificate issued.
- Numbered and registeredEvery certificate carries a unique number and is entered in the public registry.

- Re-sit required 0–60%
- Low pass 61–70%
- Pass 71–90%
- High pass 91–100%
A candidate passes with at least 61% in the written examination and active participation in the practical part.

From the Association
Every credential now verifiable online
The Association’s registry is now public: anyone can confirm a credential by name or certificate number, and members can share their verified credentials.
Sixteen new Master Practitioners
A second Master Practitioner certification this year brings the number of credentials awarded in 2026 to 55 by mid-July.
Spring certification: 39 new credentials
Twenty-two new Practitioners on 10 May and seventeen new Master Practitioners on 16 May.
